Bluestar had the pleasure of hosting His Eminence Abdullah Aymaz, an important figure with close ties of Islamic scholar, Fethullah Gulen. His trip marked a significant stage of Bluestar's formation as it allowed His Eminence to meet with prominent members of the intercultural scene in Canberra.

One major visit was to meet Prof James Haire (Executive Director of Australian Centre for Christianity & Culture). Along with executives from Bluestar & Feza, His Eminence exchanged gifts with Prof James Haire and each conversed about the importance of sustaining dialogue and co-operation in enhancing harmony within the wider community. His Eminence recalled on the great contribution Prof James Haire has made to the Australian interfaith and intercultural landscape and was looking for Bluestar to be a reciprocal partner in these endeavours leading into the future.

His Eminence also met Prof James Piscatori (Deputy Director of the Centre for Arab Islamic Studies) in his office in ANU. Prof James was deeply impressed with His Eminence's account of how Fethullah Gulen had stressed to him the importance of dialogue laying the platform for mutual respect and harmony between the great civilisations of the world.
